8 Bedroom Cabin in Blairsville

Nestled on top of a beautiful valley, the Lantern Lodge offers extraordinary views of the sun setting over the mountains. Cozy and inviting, the lodge offers 7 bedrooms, each with direct access to the one of 6 baths; plus 2 additional attic dormers, offering 3 bunkbeds each. Every bedroom, as well as the attic dormers, offer spectacular views. The four level log/rock home offers five covered porches, plus an additional covered porch at the guest house. The log beams give the feel of a superb mountain lodge. All new furniture, mountain themed, further add to the chalet air. Fully paved accessible road and driveway.
The main level offers two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed, the other with a queen-size bed. The floor plan is open and includes the great room with a cathedral ceiling, a double see-through fireplace, which serves both the great room as well as the brand new kitchen. The kitchen has two bar seatings as well as a cozy hunter themed dining area, creating a spacious area for guests to enjoy. On the upper level, the exquisite master suite features a king size bed, a wood fireplace, and a porch overlooking the patio below, as well as the mountain across. The rustic master bathroom has a jacuzzi, as well as a rainfall style, massage system in the rock mosaic shower stall. The other bedroom on the upper level has two double beds, and a private covered porch. On the third level, two spiral staircases lead to two separate attic dormers, each offering three bunkbeds, rustic decor, and magnificent views.
On the lower level, one bedroom offers a queen size bed, as well as a two bunkbeds, one double size, one twin. Summary: Everything was lovely! We especially appreciated how well stocked the kitchen was, not only with pots/pans/utinsels but also basic spices and such.Our group of 12 ranged from ages 7 to 66. Ten of us stayed in the main house and two of the young adults stayed in the guest house. The weather wasn't the best but the lodge was very spacious and well equipped with games so indoor time was no problem. We had activities going on in many rooms and the kids played outside whenever the rain wasn't coming down too hard. One of the kids had a birthday during our stay and she was so excited to see the Happy Birthday banner and balloons provided by the property manager.On a side note, I don't know if it was intentional but the ceiling of the Eagle's Nest room looked to have eagles soaring in the wood.

Summary: Although we were not that far from other houses, this beautiful home felt so secluded and private. We loved having all the outdoor space to be outside and enjoy the amazing views of the mountains and valley below us. So many great hikes nearby made it such a huge plus. Jessica, the house manager, was so responsive and very helpful when we needed things. There were 2 units for heat and A/C, which was perfect for such a big house. The 2nd guest house was nice for the family that needed more privacy and was great for cooking big meals for our huge group. Directions on how to get there, how to get in and how to use everything was far better than most VRBO houses that we rent (and we rent all the time). Would definitely recommend this place!

Summary: Very well equipped kitchen. Outside area great. Only issue is that it is advertised with 30 beds and there are definitely not places for 30 adults to sleep. Good for families with children to use bunk areas.Property manager was excellent to communal with h- very responsive and informative.I would highly r commend,

Summary: The property is well kept, rustic and just lovely, with perfect views. We decided to have our wedding here and was beyond expectations. Summary: We couldn't have picked a better place for our wedding! The views were out of this world. We could sit there all day staring out into the valley. We are SO thankful that this family is sharing their beautiful property with the rest of us. It was a perfect setup for our family reunion/wedding. It had everything we needed and plenty of space for everyone. The outdoor space was perfect for pizza night, a cold evening with a fire, or place for the kids to have fun. The host, Jessica, was absolutely amazing! She was super friendly, knowledgeable and always there when we needed her. The day of coordination by Jessica was hands down the best, so thankful she was there for our special day! She was always in communication with us and went over everything we needed to discuss. She did a superb job and I felt so comfortable putting our special day in her hands. Jessica makes all the difference and the all around our experience here couldn't have been more perfect. We loved it so much we have already booked our anniversary trip here next year!
